About CSSA: Crop science for a better world

The Crop Science Society of America (CSSA), established in 1956, is a leading scientific and professional organization that facilitates the development, dissemination, and application of crop science. Headquartered in Madison, WI, CSSA serves 5,000+ members dedicated to discovering and applying plant science solutions to improve the human condition and protect the planet. CSSA offers a range of programs and services tailored to its members.

In alignment with shared strategic objectives, CSSA collaborates with the American Society of Agronomy (ASA) and the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA) under the umbrella organization of the Alliance of Crops, Soils, and Environmental Science Societies (ACSESS). Each member society operates independently with its own bylaws and governing boards of directors. Additionally, the Agronomic Science Foundation (ASF) provides support for the activities, programs, and projects of ASA, CSSA, and SSSA.
